Thursday Inspiration with " Angel of Death "

Today is the last day to get your entries in for the current  Anything Goes Challenge at
Smudgy Antics for February. You have until midnight PST today  to get your entries in before the current challenge closes.

For my project I decided to create a Booklet that houses an ATC in it's own frame ( I love creating books from scratch ). I used the smeared ink Digi  Angel of Death. . I coloured him up in tones of Red and cool greys using my copics. I then scanned into photoshop and printed off an ATC size and a larger size which I attached to chipboard  and set aside. The ATC was then attached to mountboard and also set aside. The book was constructed from scratch using mountboard and covered with black cardstock. I then stamped and heat embossed two panels for the front and inside left cover of the book. These were then attached and the larger chipboard mounted image applied to the front cover. A quote was then designed in photoshop, printed and attached to the embossed panel on the left side of the booklet. A deep frame was contructed from Chipboard to house the ATC and given a coat of DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic in red. This was then attached to the right side of the book at the same time as a piece of black looped ribbon which sits under the ATC for easy removal.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to get your entries in today before the challenge closes.

Today's calendar inspiration - July/August

Another page in my calendar, halfway now! =) For this page I've used another of Alexandria Serrano's digistamps Geisha and colored her with my promarkers and added glitter pen to her hair pins. Shaded around her and added white pen to highlight her hair.
Found an Asian designed paper and cut out some for the background and cut out a dragon for decorations, from the same paper. Mounted it on a paper I found in my stash and think it work fine together. =)

Hope you will join in on our monthly challenge, the only thing you need is to use Smeared Ink stamps on your creation, rubber or digi.

A bit of POE on Sunday

Its the dragons turn to post today,
any of you who had a look at the February members blog hop
will know I played with stamps and clay for it,
making 3 projects but only showing 2 on the day.....
I kept POE for today.
The hope theme was CRACKED AND BROKEN,
all the stamps used are SMEARED INK... including the word 'broken'...
this was another clay piece i had to actually break to get the required 'crack'.
I am amazed by the detail that you can get with these stamps..... look at the photo below...
SMEARED INK STAMPS are quite honestly SUPERB quality.
Thanks for stopping by today....
there'll be another project from another designer tomorrow....

a little broken...

Hi there...

I am having two ATCs to show you as inspiration on the blog today.
First of I stamped some rubber backgrounds from the urban decay set by Smeared Ink on scrapbook paper. Then I made an image transfer on sticky back canvas. Painted heavy layers of  distress crackle paint and set to dry over night and it almost feel like leather when its done because of the canvas. Painted the surfaces with two shades of  copics. The hears is also from the rubber club and colored with copics. The text is just printed out in fonts that I like...

I hate taking picks at night...it is so freakin hard to show them  justice.... ;)

Do not forget to take part in the monthly challenge that you can find as an icon in the left hand side bar of this blog.

Thank you! / lisa

Obsession...

Hi,

It is my day to inspire..made a card with a dark valentine theme...
Used alcohol ink and blending solution in red, black and silver on glossy white cardstock. Stamped some words from the "heart wings" rubber stamp set from Smeared Ink with black archival ink. It did not show that well so I filled the letters with a white posca pen and a sacura silver glitter gel pen. The heart with wings is from the same rubber set and it is stamped in air dry clay and then painted with black gesso and then buffed with inka gold graphite.

Go check out the 3 day long bloody valentine hop that started today and the first person on the list is BlackDragon.

And do take part in the Smudgy Antics anything goes challenge that you can find in the left hand side bar on this blog...

Tuesday Inspiration with Fringe.

Today I'm sharing a box I altered. For the main focal point on the box lid I have used one of the images from the Fringe Set of Digi Stamps available in the shop over at Smeared Ink. I started by embossing some cardstock. I applied this to the box base and lid and once dry coated the whole box with two coats of DecoArt Media fluid Acrylic in black. Once dry I applied Patina Perfect Pearls and misted with water for permanence. I then coloured the fringe image with copics, fussy cut and the mounted on to black cardstock to make the image pop. This was then applied to the box lid with 3d foam pads. To finish black organza ribbon was fastened to the box lid edge using co-rdinating brads from my stash..

Finished Box.

                                                                         Box Top.

I hope I've inspired you to come and play in our monthly challenge. You can enter our current challenge by clicking on the link in the sidebar to your left. The only requirement is that you use a Smeared Ink Image. Real Rubber or Digi.

Monday Inspiration

Today I am sharing a mixed media tag I have made, I was getting worried it might not be finished in time to show this week due to all the embellishments still being too wet to glue down! for this piece I have used one of the gorgeous stamps in the Other Side of Fear set. If you want to know how I made this and what I used to colour that image in (it's not my usual mediums) then head over to my blog where I will tell all! If you have created something using Smeared Ink stamps that click on the link to the current challenge and show us what you've made.

Another calendar page with a Spring/Summer feeling

Time for my first inspirational DT-post for Smudgy Antics blog this month and now it's time for the May-June page.  I have used one of Alexandria Serrano's images again, this one is called "More than chemical" and works perfectly for a Spring/Summer page.

I colored her with promarkers, added glitter pen and cut her out. Then I recycled a net bags we got a gift got Allan in and cut out a part of it and mounted it behind the image. My idea was to spray it with a Tattered Lace spray but can't find it so added glitter to it instead. So it sparkled a bit, not as much as my hand did afterwards though. =)

The background paper is from a small paper pack I bought before and it matches the image and it's colors nicely!

So now I hope you will join our challenge and don't forget that you have to you a Smeared Ink image to join in! =)

New rubber stamps.....

YAY its Friday...
today I have a couple of ATC'S using the new rubber stamps from
These are large stamps but can still make very impressive ATC's.
I used alcohol ink, ink, and pencils to colour the images.
Gilding flakes around the edges and black card as mounts.

If you have never brought SMEARED INK stamps you'll be totally amazed at the quality...
honestly they are the best I own... and I own rather a lot of stamps.
