Smudgefest Begins Today!

We at Smeared Ink are so excited to be hosting our third annual week-long challenge extravaganza called SmudgeFest! Each morning from now until Sunday we will post a different challenge theme. Participants will have until midnight to post their project for that day's challenge. The daily winner will be drawn by random number and announced the next morning along with the new challenge theme. Daily prizes will vary, and the only way to know what they are is to join us each day.

The fun thing about it is, at the end of the seven days we will be drawing for an awesome grand prize! In order to qualify, participants must have posted entries in all seven challenges and must have used at least one Smeared Ink stamp (rubber or digi) on each creation. The grand prize will consist of a $200 Smeared Ink SHOPPING SPREE valid for anything in our online shop! (Grand Prize amount not valid on Rubber Club orders) We look forward to this week long fun fest, and we hope you can play along!!!

 Here are the rules:

*Each morning from August 5th through 11th, a new challenge will be posted. It will contain that day's theme and prize information.

*To participate, you must make a project that fits the theme and add it to that day's post using the Inlinkz linky tool. It must be linked by midnight of the same day. Your link must go straight to the post on your blog containing your project, not your blog home page.

*Your project can be anything (card, scrapbook page, altered or 3-d item, etc) as long as it is handmade and stamped somewhere with either a rubber or digital stamp. All digital projects are allowed if it fits the theme. Feel free to think outside the box and have fun with your project! We are all about looking at things differently and look forward to the variety of projects we are sure to see.

*You must use AT LEAST 1 Smeared Ink image on your project to qualify for the grand prize drawing. You are allowed to use anything else that you like. If you just want to play along and aren't worried about qualifying for the grand prize, you do not have to include a Smeared Ink image.

*The daily winner will be chosen by random number and revealed later the next day in a separate post (not the daily theme post).

*At the end of the week, all participatnts who submitted entries for all seven days and used a Smeared Ink image on all their entries will be entered for the Grand Prize Drawing of a $200 shopping spree from Smeared Ink. The winner will be chosen by random number and announced on Monday, August 12th.
We've got a new release coming up so I hope you are all excited for this chance to win loads of our images!!
So, are you ready to play? Welcome to Day 1 of SmudgeFest!!

Welcome back for week 2 of the fortnight challenge with Smudgy Antics!

The theme for this challenge is to Use FUSSY CUTTING in your projects.

Get creative with your cutting.  You can make dimensional images with multiple fussy cut layers or you can fussy cut an intricate design.  The more creative, the better.  Let's see if you can use fussy cutting in a way we haven't seen before.  Although you may use die cuts to enhance your project, there must be a portion of your project fussy cut by hand
If your fussy cut element is not obvious, please state what you have fussy cut in the write-up of your post.

Please read and follow the rules posted on the left sidebar of the challenge blog to qualify for a prize.

Week 2 of Use METAL with Smudgy Antics

Welcome back for week 2 of the fortnight challenge with Smudgy Antics!

The theme for this challenge is to use METAL in your projects.
Of course you can always use Tim Holtz or other brand name pre-made metal embellishments, but we find it much more interesting if you use metal from an actual hardware store, scrap metal, found metal objects, recycled soup cans and aluminum pop, soda, or fizzy drink cans, etc.

Use your imagination and see how clever you can get using metal while still using a stamped image somewhere in your project.  As we always say, the more creative and inventive, the better your chance of a win so get your tin snips ready and make something that will blow us away!

Please read and follow the rules posted on the left sidebar of the challenge blog to qualify for a prize.
