Dancing with Death, Day 1 of the 31 days of Halloween and a NEW RELEASE!!!

There is so much going on this entire month so I will keep

this as brief as possible. First, being Monday, it is the start of a new challenge here on Smudgy Antics. Being October 1st, many of our fine followers will also be participating in the month long blog hop, The 31 Days of Halloween, hosted by Smeared and Smudged. To find out more about the 31 Days of Halloween, click here. Even non-participants can win prizes!

The Challenge Theme for Smudgy Antics is

"Dancing with Death".

***If you are a Blogger for the 31 Days, you may combine one of your daily projects with this Smudgy Antics Challenge. Just be sure to read and follow the challenge rules posted on the left side bar and be sure to follow the 31 Days' rules as well.

**For those not playing along with the 31 Days of Halloween, it is business as usual here. Be sure to read and follow the challenge rules posted on the left side bar to qualify for the random prize drawing and the coveted "Top Three" badge. Be creative and think outside of the box.

*Projects are not limited to cards. We also accept and encourage mixed-media pieces, sculptures, art journal pages, etc. Just be sure to use a stamped image somewhere in your project ("real" or "digi") and follow the challenge rules and you are golden :)

Weekly Challenge: TIC-TAC-TOE THREE IN A ROW

Weekly Challenge: Pop Art

Congratulations to the winner and top ONE of the

"Creatures of the Night" challenge last week!

This week's challenge theme is:

"POP ART".

We want your projects this week to really POP! Think dimension. Think 3-D. Use pop-dots, decoupage, or any technique of your choosing to make your images pop-out at us. Heck, you can even use a spring to add some real pop with an added bonus of bounce!

We love when you guys and gals think outside of the box. The more creative and inventive, the better! We love it when you surprise us with something amazing and unexpected.

Weekly Challenge - BAD BABY

Congratulations to the winner and top three of the "Anything Goes" challenge!

The challenge theme this week is "Bad Baby".

A little different, huh? Well, that's how we roll over at Smudgy Antics and its sister forum Smeared and Smudged.

We can't wait to see what you come up with using this theme.

Please remember, you do not need to make a card for this challenge.

We also accept and encourage art journal pages, scrapbook pages, mixed-media pieces, sculptures, ATCs, Fat Book pages, jewelry, etc. Just remember to use at least one stamped image (rubber, clear, or digi) and follow the rules listed on the left sidebar to qualify for the prize or the coveted "Top Three" badge.

Weekly Challenge - EMBELLISH IT

Congratulations to the winner and top three of the Color Challenge!
The challenge theme this week is "EMBELLISH IT".

For this challenge you MUST use at least 3 EMBELLISHMENTS.
Bring on the flowers and bling. Use up your ribbon and lace. Find a spot for brads and gems. Heck, add hardware if you want!

Make your project simple or feel free to go over the top.
Just remember to use a stamped image (digi or rubber), 3 embellishments, and be sure to read and follow the challenge rules posted on the left side bar to qualify for the random prize drawing and the coveted "Top Three" badge.

*To participate, you must make a NEW project that features at least 1 STAMPED or DIGI IMAGE... FROM SMEARED INK ,add it to the post using the Inlinkz linky. Any other supplies and images may be used. Your link MUST take us directly to your project on a PUBLICLY ACCESSIBLE blog or website, or it will be disqualified - so please make sure you're linking to your actual post. It must be linked by midnight Pacific Time on the scheduled end date, which will be three days before the end of the month. You must use a new project; back-linking is NOT allowed.

*Your project can be anything (card, scrapbook page, mixed media, altered or 3-D item, etc) as long as it is handmade and stamped somewhere with at least 1 rubber or digital stamp....from SMEARED INK . We have taken into consideration our digital artist fans and will be allowing all-digi projects. Please note that while collage sheet images can be used in your project, the collage image does NOT count as a stamped image. You still need to use a rubber or digital stamp somewhere on your project. Feel free to think outside the box and have fun with your project! We are all about looking at things differently and look forward to the variety of projects and mediums we are sure to see.

*Multiple projects are allowed as long as each project follows the rules. Each project must be linked individually into the Inlinkz linky tool and must link to it's own individual blog post in order to be considered as separate entries. (Multiple projects in one blog post will be considered as 1 entry).

*The winner will be chosen by RANDOM DRAW and will be revealed on the last day of the month. The winner will get BOTH the prize and a winner's blog button to display on their blog. A TOP 3 will be voted for by the DT and shall get a WINNERS BLOG BUTTON... Only the best projects will win TOP 3 so bring your A-game!
