Skull mail art
I did this and sent them in to be displayed in their mail art exhibit....I wasn't quite sure on how to make mail art...but everything I read pretty much said to just do whatever...as long as it is the right size and not bulky....so here is what I did....
for this one I took acrylic paint and painted the top...then added a bunch of water and let it run down...I took another as death stamp and stamped it.
and this one is my fave! I took my side skull from the anatomy digi set printed it of and cut my paper to size...then I took some Vaseline and applyed it to my skull...I then painted over the whole thing with bronze acrylic paint...let it dry then wiped off the Vaseline...I did have to scratch at it (just with my fingernails) because I didn't put enough Vaseline on but I just love the effect...I then took my quoth the raven stamps and added a bit more to it...
now I hope this gets you pumped and ready for the blog hop on the 4th...I know I can't wait! stop by the forum to sign up...you get to choose a really cool digi if you do :)

CD Pendants
I altered pieces of CDs to make necklaces!!! how cool are these?
I made the skull one first....not bad for a first try...I used alcohol inks and layers of UTEE....
then I made the heart one...again alcohol inks and layers of UTEE...
both my stamps came from the Quoth the Raven stamp set....a fave of mine!and now to finish them off with ribbons and beads...I wanted to make some home made paper beads but didn't think about it until the last min....I'll post pics when/if I do :)
thanks for taking a peek! now go hop onto the forum and check out some other amazing work!

It Can't rain all the time

I think I'm going to try to make a frame or something for it to hang in my craft room...I got the background paper idea from the Ink Stains blog I did take some pictures of how I did it that I will share with you later, but it is allot of papers and I think all of them are from Lisa's Scrapfactory Etsy store....The flowers I glimmer misted black glued a lil jewel in the middle.... I then used my symbology of angels stamp and gave him a bunch of black hair and makeup to match the crow...he is a little buff but it works...and the background stamps are from quoth the raven..oh and the little crows are from Holy City! thanks for taking a lookie look, see ya around the forum!

A Skull Stompin' Glam Vamp!
Since it’s Friday, that means it’s my turn to share a Smeared Ink creation with you. I tied this one into this week’s Macabre Monday (Alas…Poor Yorick). I chose to use one of the Glam Vamps (Christine) along with the skull from the Quoth the Raven set.

I promise you my card isn’t cut crooked…it’s just the photographer. ;) I colored this hot little chica up with my watercolor markers and a touch o’ colored pencils.
Can I just say that I want her boots?! My sentiment is from Stampers Anonymous. I thought it was pretty snarky! Alas…poor Yorick!
The sun washed out the color a bit here…but I wanted you to see that I embossed the skulls in clear. Sooooo….? What do you think? I like it, personally…but I would rather you toot my horn for me! ;)
Hey! Didja know that the Smeared Ink Design Team is having a DT call! YOU could be one of US! How rad would that be?!? Read all the deets HERE. You’ll be glad ya did! Have an inspiring day!!!

NeverMore with this chick

I think she is so cool! I just love her dress!!
the senti came from Quoth the Raven but the rest is from the chicks dig guns set. I used a technique called thumping on her dress and feather...I saw it on Splitcoast...
thanks for taking a lookie look...I'll see you in the forum!

#39, That's How I Roll

You’ll be able to see this a lot better if you click on it..it’ll make it bigger! I started off by using “That’s how I roll” from the Teen Style Sayings set. Then, I went to my new fave go-to stamps from Quoth the Raven. I adore those background stamps!

The photographer took a mess of action shots of #39 (who is receiving this album as a gift) as she went around the rink. I thought that it was a great idea.
I plan on adding some more embellishments to this page, but at the moment, I’m not sure what they’ll be. It looks almost finished to me…but not completely. But I was really happy when I realized that I had that Smeared Ink title. It’s perfect for this spread! Hope you like my layouts. Have an inspiring day!
