YAY...It's the weekend....
don't they come round quickly?
I have a bit of a notebook obsession...
I make lists of lists....
so i need a copious supply of little notepads.
I found packs of them a while ago in one of our pound stores so
i'm working my way through putting decorative covers on them.
I  used one of my all time favourite rubber stamps from
masked it and added a background and the word OBSESSION from
HEART WINGS rubber set.
Then I used ink and pencils to colour my front cover.

You only have a few days left to enter this months challenge....
why not make a project this weekend?
Thanks for visiting...see you again soon.

Bunny Blue and Kitty Too!

Howzit Everyone!
For today's DT inspiration I'm sharing two projects!
First up here's an Easter Bunny altered domino magnet featuring Smeared Ink's Li'l Bunny Grumpie from the Occasions Li'l Grumpie rubber stamp set.  I just love this li'l Bunny to death!

Looks like Bunny Blue found himself a friend!
Any guesses on what I used to colour the domino?  Dying to find out?
Then stop by my DominoART blog tomorrow for an egg-citing reveal ;0)

"How PURRfectly wonderflandful to see you" she purred mischievously!
I also want to share the wind-chime I made for our March Smeared and Smudged Member "Alice in Wonderland - MADNESS" Blog Hop!  As a huge Alice fan I had a blast creating this Cheshire Kitty diorama featuring Smeared Ink's Cheshire Cat and the mushroom from the Alice digi.
Pop on over to my other blog, LeighSBDesigns, for all the info, photos and a little video clip!

I hope I've inspired you to get creative and there's still time to enter our current
Smudgy Antics Challenge so come join the fun!

Hello again! Rebecca is off being wonder woman this week (good luck with everything Rebecca!) so I'm doing an extra slot. I have got a couple of ATC's to share with you today. Skellie dance...

I´ve made a tag (again) lol. I had to try out something new so I did. Mixed texture paste that has sand in it and mixed it with black gesso and applied it to the surface of tag. Once dried I added perfect pearls powder and water with brush. The skellie image is a digi from Smeared Ink and is one from the Danse Macabre set.
Added some die cut rats and web.

It would be great if you took part in our monthly anything goes challenge and you can find the link on  the left hand side bar of the Smudgy Antics blog.

Thank you!

For todays DT Inspiration I have a large tag to share with you today. I have used The Man Digi Single from the Specimen Jar set as my focal image coloured up with copics for the tag. I created the background using DecoArt Media fluid acrylics, Die cuts and gilding wax. Full details are on my blog.
                                                                 Close up of the detail.
I hope you are inspired to join in with us for this months challenge. The link is on the sidebar to your left. We'd love to see what you create with Smeared Ink stamps. Do come back tomorrow for more inspiration from the DT.

Hang in there

I've made a card for today's DT inspiration and have used Other side of Fear - Girl 2 made by Alexandria Serrano for my card.

As usual I colored her first and then started to look for papers, I picked out three different papers and one little piece of leftover card stock. I choose a design paper with autumn theme for the image and used the brown card stock as a frame for it. Then I had another design paper that I used as the card base, in matching colors. Added a text with letter stickers, "Hang in there" for a bit of fun. =)

To enter our monthly "Anything goes" challenge, don't forget that you have to use atleast one Smeared Ink image on your creation, to be able to enter! =)

Down The Rabbit Hole ATC

Happy Hump Day!
Besides our monthly Smudgy Antics challenges, Smeared Ink also hosts lots of other activities at our Smeared and Smudged Facebook group, one for one ATC swaps for example!
The theme was Down the Rabbit Hole and you all know I love Alice so yep, I played ;0)

I used Smeared Ink's Cheshire Cat and White Rabbit digis from the Wonderland set and on the back I stamped the ATC Info stamp from the Letterbox Backgrounds rubber set.  I performed some Wonderlandian magic and made the Cheshire Cat disappear and a few other digital tricks too!  Want to know more then pop on over to my blog, LeighSBDesigns!

We also have monthly member blog hops at Smeared and Smudged and the March theme is "Alice in Wonderland - Madness", I'm so in my element!  Come and hop with us on March 19, I can't wait to share my project so here's a sneaky peek ;0)

Hey everyone, I hope that all is well and that you are all getting your smudgy antics on. I have tried something a bit different today. Other side of fear..

It is sunday and time for me to show you some inspiration that I´ve made.
The tag background went totally out of control but I am pleased with it so I guess it was a good thing then :)
It is structured then covered in foil. Painted with white gesso and then alcohol ink. Sanded and rubbed with black archival ink and then covered in clear heat embossing powder.

The image is one  from the other side of fear digital set and the text as well. the paper is first covered in alcohol ink and then colored with copics here and there...

Thank you!

Inky Saturday Inspiration.

It's my turn to inspire you today with a tag created using Creepmas Centerpiece as the focal image. I printed the image onto 300gsm cardstock and coloured with distress inks. I then masked the focal image and made an inky background with distress inks and stencils. This was then cut and mounted onto to mountboard for stability. The edges inked and cotton binding for a ribbon to finish.

I hope you will take part in our current Anything Goes Challenge. The info is on the sidebar to your left. Have a great weekend and do come back tomorrow for more inspiration from the DT.

Yay It's Friday!!!

Happy Friday to you all, I am so ready for the weekend!

I've got a card to share today, it was one of those pieces where I just couldn't decide what stamps to use, so ended up using 4 different sets :D I started off by stamping the wood grain from the urban decay set onto the base, then I used the church and bird from the Holy city set ( the church ended up behind the other image) the sentiment is from the danse macabre set and then the image on the top is from the as death set.

Don't forget to check back each day to see the fab inspiration from the rest of the DT and to link up your smeared ink makes with our current challenge.

The end of my calendar - November-December is here

Time for my DT-inspiration here at Smudgy Antics and now I'm on the last page of my calendar!
This page is November-December and as usual for this calendar I've used another of Alexandria Serrano's fabulous images. =)
The one for this page is from the Winged things rubber stamp set and I colored it to look a little like winter and added glitter to the wings and used glitter pen for other details. Otherwise it's colored with my trusty promarkers and I added a dark blue card stock behind it, so it would stand out on the snowflake paper.

To be able to participate in the challenge, you have to use atleast 1 Smeared Ink stamp for your project! =) Also post a direct link to your blogpost and not only to your blog, so that we can find you creation at once! =)

Wednesday, March 11, 2015

Today's inspiration is a page that was inspired by Edgar Allan Poe and a challenge that was based off one of his works.

I have used both digital paper and stamps on this page.  The main image is from the digital set called Death Cab.  The digital papers on the background are from Poe Boy and Vintage Grunge.  Stamps are a set from the Rubber Club Past Offerings, Quoth The Raven.

Sunday at the beach

Hey all hope you are enjoying all of the wonderful inspiration that my fellow DT members have been sharing. Today is my turn and I have an ocean themed tag. I made a bunch of tags for the women in my bible study to use as bookmarks. So no blood and guts on any of theirs. (Guess it takes a special kind. :p. Like us)  But I wanted to shared this tame option too.
The stamp is from tye rubber set "The Abyss"

The ocean was made using distress inks, stickles, and gel pens.
I also used Perfect Pearls on the background but its hard to see them.

Faux fused glass...

I have a pendant to show you today...and I´ve used rubber from "the As Death" set.
First of I alcohol inked some white shrink plastic and then I stamped the image twice and cut out the center skull from one of them. Shrunk them in the oven and then added the center piece on top of the image.
The pendant is then covered in utee. So shiny..love this technique :)

Thank you for watching my project today and please do take part in our current anything goes challenge that you can enter the whole month. It has to be stamped somewhere with a digi or real rubber smeared ink image.

Happy Friday to you all. Here's my DT Inspiration in the form of a Tag. I used  The Grim Reaper  from Teri Sherman available in the Smeared Ink Store. I coloured the image up with copics then scanned into photoshop . I created my tag background then placed the image in a pleasing manner. Added a gothic frame and to finish the quote. The word fear is from the Other Side of Fear  set also available in the Smeared Ink Store. I then printed out, attached to a tag cut from mountboard , inked the edges and finished with Ribbon.

Thursday Inspiration

I have got a journal page to share with you today, the theme of it is the E.A. Poe poem A dream within a dream. This page was actually a finished page that I didn't like so I painted over it, then I used some water soluble wax pastels to make it look a bit more interest before I stamped onto using rubber stamps from the Quoth the Raven set and adding the words of the poem. If you want to join us in this months challenge the link is just over there<<<<<< We do love to see all your Smeared Ink makes.

Candy Inspiration

Today's DT-post for Smudgy Antics is the September-October page in my calender.
I used Alexandria Serrano's Candy Girl for this page and colored her with promarkers. Added a blue glitterpen to her lashes to make them stand out and gold to her lips.
For the background I used a new Christmas paper with peppermint candy, which was perfect to this image. =)

As always to enter our Anything goes monthly challenge here at Smudgy Antics you have to use atleast 1 Smeared Ink stamp to be qualified to enter the challenge!
