"Grandmaster" Altered Pencil Holder

I hope everyone is having a great week so far!  Here's my DT inspiration for you today!
I've had this very versatile Tombow "store display" marker holder in my studio for many years.  I'm calling it a pencil holder for want of a better word but I use it daily for various purposes like to stand projects in while they dry or carry some coloured pencils or markers to my desk.  I've been wanting to do 'something' to pretty it up and I finally did it, haha!    It's also the perfect compliment to my 2015 daily planner I altered earlier this year!

I used all of the stunning chess piece Smeared Ink digis called Grandmaster by Teri Sherman.

Please stop by my blog, LeighSBDesigns, for more info on my project!
I hope I've inspired you to come and play in our monthly challenges ;0)  The link to our current challenge is over there in the left side bar!

April 16th was our monthly Members Blog Hop and this month's theme was "Decorate a Real Egg".  Start your hop on my blog if you missed it coz all the creations were eggstra-special!
This is the egg sculpture I made using a real chicken egg and wish bone!

Wonderlandian Bookmarks

Happy Monday the 13th to you all!
For today's DT inspiration I'm sharing 3 Wonderlandian bookmarks in celebration of National Library week which began on Sunday!  Of course I had to represent one of my favourite books, Alice in Wonderland, and use some of my favourite Smeared Ink digis from the Wonderland set!

I performed some Photoshop magic and combined pages scanned from my Alice in Wonderland books with the images.  Pop on over to my blog, LeighSBDesigns, for all the info!
Don't forget to come and join in our monthly Smudgy Antics Challenges which are always "Anything Goes"!  The link is over there in the left sidebar.
Happy Reading!

Bunnie Buddies - altered dominoes and a card!

Happy Easter Everyone!
For today's DT inspiration I'm sharing two projects!
You've met Bunny Blue before, well he found some friends along the way.  Here they are hanging out on my Tim Holtz tin with their chickie friend ;0)

Altered domino magnets featuring Smeared Ink's Li'l Bunny Grumpie from the
The above photo was Bunny Blue's farewell party, he's off on his travels to my Sister ;0)
Here's the cute and rather clever Easter card I made her that is the perfect presentation card for a domino magnet.  What's clever about it you ask?  Well, you see the domino is rather heavy and a regular card just falls forward when you try to stand it up.  I cut the bottom edge of the back of the card at an angle so that it leans backwards like an easel when you stand it up.  No more head dives for Bunny Blue!  Pop on over to my DominoART blog if you'd like to know the 2nd clever part of the card, how to actually add the domino magnet to the front ;0)

I hope I've inspired you to come and play in our challenges!  The April one just started so there's plenty of time to join the fun - Smudgy Antics Challenge for April

Bunny Blue and Kitty Too!

Howzit Everyone!
For today's DT inspiration I'm sharing two projects!
First up here's an Easter Bunny altered domino magnet featuring Smeared Ink's Li'l Bunny Grumpie from the Occasions Li'l Grumpie rubber stamp set.  I just love this li'l Bunny to death!

Looks like Bunny Blue found himself a friend!
Any guesses on what I used to colour the domino?  Dying to find out?
Then stop by my DominoART blog tomorrow for an egg-citing reveal ;0)

"How PURRfectly wonderflandful to see you" she purred mischievously!
I also want to share the wind-chime I made for our March Smeared and Smudged Member "Alice in Wonderland - MADNESS" Blog Hop!  As a huge Alice fan I had a blast creating this Cheshire Kitty diorama featuring Smeared Ink's Cheshire Cat and the mushroom from the Alice digi.
Pop on over to my other blog, LeighSBDesigns, for all the info, photos and a little video clip!

I hope I've inspired you to get creative and there's still time to enter our current

Down The Rabbit Hole ATC

Happy Hump Day!
Besides our monthly Smudgy Antics challenges, Smeared Ink also hosts lots of other activities at our Smeared and Smudged Facebook group, one for one ATC swaps for example!
The theme was Down the Rabbit Hole and you all know I love Alice so yep, I played ;0)

I used Smeared Ink's Cheshire Cat and White Rabbit digis from the Wonderland set and on the back I stamped the ATC Info stamp from the Letterbox Backgrounds rubber set.  I performed some Wonderlandian magic and made the Cheshire Cat disappear and a few other digital tricks too!  Want to know more then pop on over to my blog, LeighSBDesigns!

We also have monthly member blog hops at Smeared and Smudged and the March theme is "Alice in Wonderland - Madness", I'm so in my element!  Come and hop with us on March 19, I can't wait to share my project so here's a sneaky peek ;0)

Friday 13th DT inspiration: Love Sick Grumpie altered domino!

  Happy Friday the 13th!
Today is my turn to inspire you and encourage you to come and play in our monthly Anything Goes challenge but first how good are you with a butterfly net?  It's chaos over on my LeighSBDesigns blog right now where a horde of love sick Grumpies are running amok during the finale of Smeared Ink's Bloody Valentine blog hop!  Pop on over and bring your net with you!  But first let's take a closer look at a Love Sick Grumpie so you know what kind of beastie you're looking for ;0)

This is a Love Sick Grumpie...try and catch him if you can!
I used super-sized white dominoes to create my balloon toting horde which feature Smeared Ink's Love Lil Grumpies rubber stamp set.  The balloons I drew myself and the text on each one is also from the Love set!

Come and play in our current challenge which you can find HERE!
